# Moderator's Guide

#### **MODERATORS**

The primary job as a Moderator is to monitor the chat rooms, looking for meaningful discussions that we can engage in, and help players that have questions, suggestions or concerns. The most important job as a Moderator is to make sure our players are not only following our [Terms and Conditions](https://www.simcompanies.com/terms/) but having the best time possible!

When a mod pulls up a player's profile, they will see this under their company name:

#### **BANNING ABILITY**

Moderators can decide whether the player should be given a warning, or for extreme cases apply a chat ban right away.

Chat bans are temporary bans that are removing the ability for players to use chat rooms.

In most cases a resolution can be found before we have to ban a player. Many "offenses" are just players testing out boundaries and if called upon it they stop.

To allow fair and cooperative bans, the system automatically determines the ban length based on the number of previous offenses. Repeat offenders are getting ever increasing ban lengths:  
The progressive system starting at 2 hours; and follows this pattern: 2, 2, 8, 16, 32, 64, and so on.

System also automatically determines when to ban the whole IP and refuse new registrations based on multiple bans given to players on the same IP. The goal is to stop offenders that create a 2nd account right away to circumvent a ban.

There are a few more tricks up in our sleeves for difficult cases that are not made public. These are applied when we no longer feel the player's offensive behavior can be altered and are just trying to block him/her from using chats altogether.

#### **COMPANY IDENTITY IN VIOLATION OF T&amp;C**

Moderators can decide whether the player should be given a warning, or for extreme cases the identity cleared right away. If warning is selected, the user gets a PA message that is asking the offender to update their profile info. Personal Assistant will also remind the MOD chat after some time, so MODs can check if user complied. Here again, the system determines when to send warning and when to ban, based on history of offenses. Low level offending companies can be deleted right away.

#### **MODERATORS CHAT ROOM**

Moderators have access to both the Moderators Chat Room and the Supporters Chat Room.

In the Moderators Chat Room we discuss the offenders, what ban should be applied and whether the player was warned already. We also discuss whether the logo or company description is over the line in regards to [Terms and Conditions](https://www.simcompanies.com/terms/). The pressing technical issues are also brought forward. Moderators also have access to the Supporters Chat Room (this is a courtesy that Patrik has granted them). New ideas, upcoming projects, and opinions on many things that Patrik asks us about are discussed in the Supporters chat.

Moderators have the ability to see other player's hash IP addresses. This is a handy tool, especially when dealing with schools that utilize our game. They do NOT to share this information with anyone else! Player privacy is very important to us!

#### **MODERATORS ARE APPOINTED**

There is ***no application process*** to be a moderator. Moderators are selected after being ***nominated*** as a candidate and discussed in Mod chat.

The following list is ***not a checklist*** that once passed you become a moderator. There are many experienced players that are helpful to the community that are not moderating. When we consider expanding the moderating team ***we discuss possible candidates in the MODs channel***. We try to find candidates that:

- Are active players and understand the game - this is easy to see when helpful replies are posted in the Help chat room
- Have great relationship with existing moderators
- When audited, there's no record of prior cheating having multiple accounts - we are more strict here than [Fair Play Association](https://www.simcompanies.com/fpa/)
- Are level-headed and with stone skin ;)
- Have contributed a good article to Sim Companies times
- We tend to prefer more veteran players
- Speaking more languages is a big plus

**Note:** Writing to me, Patrik, directly doesn't help. As in many cases I simply ask in the MODs channel about you, and if nobody knows you .. it's hard to make a case for adding you in. I also ask other moderators to suggest candidates for moderators when we need more coverage. I can recommend you becoming a supporter, which also gets you access to great discussions related to game features.

Please do not beg/bother/annoy current moderators to be nominated to be a moderator. The moderators will certainly vote “no” if you are nominated.

Es gibt viele erfahrene Spieler, die hilfreich für die Community sind, aber nicht moderieren. Wenn wir erwägen, das Moderatorenteam zu erweitern, diskutieren wir mögliche Kandidaten im MODs-Channel. Wir versuchen, Kandidaten zu finden, die:

- Aktive Spieler sind und das Spiel verstehen - dies ist leicht zu erkennen, wenn hilfreiche Antworten im Hilfechat gepostet werden
- eine gute Beziehung zu bestehenden Moderatoren haben

#### MODERATOREN-CHATRAUM

Moderatoren haben Zugang sowohl zum Moderatoren-Chatraum als auch zum Supporter-Chatraum.

Im Chatraum der Moderatoren diskutieren wir über die "Übeltäter", welcher Bann verhängt werden sollte und ob der Spieler bereits verwarnt wurde. Wir diskutieren auch, ob das Logo oder die Firmenbeschreibung gegen die [AGB ](https://www.simcompanies.com/de/terms/)verstößt. Auch die dringenden technischen Probleme werden angesprochen. Moderatoren haben auch Zugang zum Supporter-Chatraum (dies ist eine Aufmerksamkeit, die Patrik gewährt hat). Neue Ideen, bevorstehende Projekte und Meinungen zu vielen Dingen, zu denen Patrik uns befragt, werden im Supporter-Chat diskutiert.

Moderatoren haben die Möglichkeit, die Hash-IP-Adressen anderer Spieler einzusehen. Das ist ein praktisches Hilfsmittel, vor allem im Umgang mit Schulen, die unser Spiel nutzen. Sie dürfen diese Informationen NICHT an andere weitergeben! Die Privatsphäre der Spieler ist uns sehr wichtig!

#### FÄHIGKEIT ZUM BANNEN

Während alle Spieler die Möglichkeit haben, einen anderen Spieler im Chat zu "melden", indem sie auf das Zahnrad neben dem Namen klicken, hat ein Moderator die Möglichkeit, Spieler zu "bannen". Sie sollten diese Macht weise einsetzen!

Ein Ban sollte nie ausgesprochen werden, ohne dass wir vorher versucht haben, mit dem Spieler zu sprechen! In den meisten Fällen kann eine Lösung gefunden werden, bevor wir einen Spieler bannen müssen. Viele "Vergehen" sind nur Spieler, die ihre Grenzen austesten, und wenn man sie darauf anspricht, hören sie auf. Ein Ban sollte das letzte Mittel sein.

Um faire und kooperative Banns zu ermöglichen, bestimmt das System die Länge des Banns automatisch auf der Grundlage der Anzahl der vorherigen Verstöße. Wiederholungstäter erhalten immer längere Banns.

Das System bestimmt auch automatisch, wann die gesamte IP gesperrt wird und verweigert Neuanmeldungen, wenn Spieler auf derselben IP mehrfach gebannt werden. Das Ziel ist es, Straftäter zu stoppen, die sofort einen zweiten Account erstellen, um einen Bann zu umgehen.

Für schwierige Fälle haben wir noch ein paar Tricks in petto, die nicht veröffentlicht werden. Diese werden angewandt, wenn wir das Gefühl haben, dass das anstößige Verhalten des Spielers nicht mehr geändert werden kann, und wir versuchen, ihn/sie ganz für die Nutzung von Chats zu sperren.

#### FIRMENIDENTITÄT ALS VERSTOSS GEGEN DIE AGB

Moderatoren können entscheiden, ob der Spieler eine Verwarnung erhalten soll, oder ob bei extremen Verstößen die Identität sofort gelöscht werden soll. Wird eine Verwarnung gewählt, erhält der User eine PA-Nachricht, die ihn auffordert, seine Profilinformationen zu aktualisieren. Die PA wird nach einiger Zeit auch den MOD-Chat erinnern, so dass die MODs überprüfen können, ob der Benutzer seine Daten aktualisiert hat. Auch hier bestimmt das System, wann eine Warnung und wann ein Bann ausgesprochen wird, basierend auf der Historie der Verstöße. Unternehmen mit geringem Level können sofort gelöscht werden.

Ce guide est destiné à vous donner un bref aperçu de la façon dont nos modérateurs bénévoles sont sélectionnés et quelles sont leurs tâches et leurs outils.

#### COMMENT SONT SÉLECTIONNÉS LES MODÉRATEURS ?

Veuillez noter que ce qui suit n'est pas une liste exhaustive qui, une fois vérifiée, vous permet systématiquement de devenir modérateur.

Il existe de nombreux joueurs expérimentés qui sont utiles à la communauté et qui ne sont pas modérateurs.

Lorsque nous envisageons d'élargir l'équipe de modération, nous discutons des candidats possibles dans le canal MODs. Nous essayons de trouver des candidats qui :

- Sont des joueurs actifs et comprennent le jeu - il est facile de voir quand des réponses utiles sont publiées dans la salle de discussion d'aide

- Avoir d'excellentes relations avec les modérateurs existants

- Lors de l'audit, il n'y a aucune trace de tricherie antérieure ayant plusieurs comptes - nous sommes plus stricts ici que FPA

- Sont pondérés et ont la peau de pierre ;)

- Avoir contribué un bon article à Sim Companies times

- Parler plus de langues est un gros plus

Dans le salon de discussion des modérateurs, nous discutons des contrevenants, de la sanction à appliquer et si le joueur a déjà été averti.

Nous décidons également ici si le logo ou la description d'une entreprise dépasse les limites en ce qui concerne les termes et conditions.

Les problèmes techniques urgents y sont également mis en avant.

Les modérateurs ont également accès à la salle de discussion des supporters (c'est une courtoisie que Patrik leur a accordée). Les nouvelles idées, les projets à venir et les opinions sur de nombreuses choses que Patrik nous demande sont discutées dans le chat Supporters.

Les modérateurs ont la possibilité de voir les adresses IP de hachage des autres joueurs. C'est un outil pratique, surtout lorsqu'il s'agit d'écoles qui utilisent notre jeu. Ils ne doivent PAS partager ces informations avec qui que ce soit !

La confidentialité des joueurs est très importante pour nous !

#### CAPACITÉ DE BANNIR. 

Là où tous les joueurs ont la possibilité de signaler un autre joueur dans le chat en cliquant sur l'engrenage à côté de leur nom dans le chat, un modérateur a la possibilité de bannir les joueurs. Ils utilisent ce pouvoir à bon escient !

Un bannissement ne devrait jamais être initié à moins que nous ayons d'abord tenté de parler au joueur !

Dans la plupart des cas, une solution peut être trouvée avant que nous ne devions bannir un joueur.

De nombreuses "infractions" ne sont que des joueurs qui testent les limites et si on leur demande, ils arrêtent.

Le bannissement devrait être le dernier recours.

Pour assurer des sanctions justes et coopératives, le système détermine automatiquement la durée de bannissement en fonction du nombre d'infractions précédentes. Les récidivistes reçoivent des durées de bannissement de plus en plus longues.

Le système détermine également automatiquement quand interdire l'ensemble de l'adresse IP et refuser de nouvelles inscriptions, en fonction du nombre de bannissements aux joueurs sur une même adresse IP. Le but est d'arrêter les contrevenants qui créent tout de suite un 2ème compte pour contourner une interdiction de jeu.

Nous avons encore d'autres as dans nos manches pour les cas difficiles, qui ne sont pas rendus publics. Ceux-ci sont appliqués lorsque nous pensons que le comportement offensant du joueur peut plus être modifié et essayons donc simplement de l'empêcher d'utiliser les salons de discussion ou la messagerie.

#### PROFIL D'UNE ENTREPRISE EN VIOLATION DES CONDITIONS GÉNÉRALES D'UTILISATION. 

Les modérateurs peuvent décider si le joueur en faute doit recevoir un avertissement ou, dans les cas extrêmement graves si le profil doit être effacé immédiatement.

Si l'avertissement est sélectionné, l'utilisateur reçoit un message de l’AP demandant au contrevenant de mettre à jour ses informations de profil.

L’AP fera également un rappel dans le salon de discussion MOD après un certain temps, afin que les modérateurs puissent vérifier si l'utilisateur s'est conformé aux conditions d'utilisation.

Là encore, le système détermine quand envoyer un avertissement et quand bannir, en fonction de l'historique des infractions et de l'ancienneté du joueur. Les entreprises fautives de bas niveau peuvent être supprimées immédiatement.

**CAPACIDADE DE BANIMENTO (BAN)**

Os moderadores podem decidir se o jogador deve receber uma advertência ou, em casos extremos, aplicar um Ban direto.

Os banimentos de chat são temporários que retiram aos jogadores a possibilidade de utilizarem salas de chat.

Na maioria dos casos pode ser encontrada uma resolução antes de termos de banir um jogador. Muitas "ofensas" são apenas jogadores a testar os limites e param quando chamados à razão. Banir deve ser o último recurso.

Para permitir Bans justos e cooperativos, o sistema determina automaticamente a duração do Ban com base no número de infrações anteriores. Os infratores reincidentes obtêm uma duração de Ban cada vez maior. O sistema progressivo começa em 2 horas e segue o seguinte padrão: 2, 2, 8, 16, 32, 64 e assim por diante.

O sistema também determina automaticamente quando proibir todo o IP e recusar novos registos com base em múltiplos Bans dados aos jogadores no mesmo IP. O objetivo é deter os infratores de criarem imediatamente uma 2ª conta para contornar um Ban.

Há mais alguns truques nas nossas mangas para casos difíceis que não são tornados públicos. Estes são aplicados quando já não sentimos que o comportamento ofensivo do jogador pode ser alterado e estamos apenas a tentar impedi-lo de utilizar os chats por completo.

**IDENTIDADE DA EMPRESA EM VIOLAÇÃO DOS T&amp;C**

Os moderadores podem decidir se o jogador deve ser avisado, ou em casos extremos, a identidade deve ser imediatamente apagada. Se o aviso for selecionado, o utilizador recebe uma mensagem da Assistente pessoal (PA) que pede ao infrator que atualize as informações do seu perfil. A Assistente também lembrará no chat MOD após algum tempo, para que os MOD possam verificar se o utilizador cumpriu. Aqui novamente, o sistema determina quando enviar aviso e quando proibir, com base no histórico de ofensas. As empresas infratoras de baixo nível podem ser eliminadas de imediato.

**SALA DE CHAT DOS MODERADORES**

Os moderadores têm acesso tanto à Sala de chat dos Moderadores e dos Apoiadores.

Na Sala de Chat dos Moderadores discutimos os infratores, que proibição deve ser aplicada e se o jogador já foi avisado. Discutimos também se o logótipo ou a descrição da empresa não está de acordo com os [Termos e Condições](https://www.simcompanies.com/terms/) (T&amp;C). As questões técnicas prementes são também apresentadas. Os moderadores também têm acesso à Sala de Chat dos Apoiadores (esta é uma cortesia que Patrik lhes concedeu). Novas ideias, projetos futuros e opiniões sobre muitas coisas que Patrik nos pergunta são discutidas no Chat dos Apoiadores.

**COMO SÃO SELECIONADOS OS MODERADORES?**

A lista que se segue **não é uma lista de verificação** que, uma vez ultrapassada, te torna um moderador. Existem muitos jogadores experientes que são úteis para a comunidade e que não estão a moderar. Quando pensamos em aumentar a equipa de moderadores, **discutimos os possíveis candidatos no chat MODs**. Tentamos encontrar candidatos que:

- São jogadores ativos e compreendem o jogo - isto é fácil de ver quando são dadas respostas úteis nas salas de chat.
- Ter uma grande relação com os moderadores existentes.

Posso recomendar-lhe que se torne um apoiante, o que também lhe dá acesso a grandes discussões relacionadas com as características do jogo.

#### COME SONO SELEZIONATI I MODERATORI?

- essere giocatori attivi che comprendono il gioco - facilmente riscontrabile dalle risposte utili date nella chat di aiuto (Help Chat);
- avere un ottimo rapporto con i moderatori esistenti;

**Nota**: scrivere direttamente a me, Patrik, non aiuta. In molti casi mi limito a chiedere di te nel canale moderatori, e se nessuno ti conosce... allora diventa difficile avere dei motivi per cui inserirti. Chiedo anche agli altri moderatori di suggerire candidati quando abbiamo bisogno di aumentare il numero di moderatori. Posso consigliarti di diventare un sostenitore, che ti dà anche accesso a dibattiti sulle caratteristiche del gioco.

#### CHAT DEI MODERATORI

Nella Chat dei Moderatori discutiamo dei trasgressori, del tipo di ban da applicare e se il giocatore è già stato avvertito. Discutiamo anche se il logo o la descrizione dell'azienda va oltre i limiti stabiliti in [Termini e Condizioni](https://www.simcompanies.com/it/terms/). Vengono inoltre affrontate le questioni tecniche più urgenti. I moderatori hanno anche accesso alla Chat Room dei Supporter (per gentile concessione di Patrik). Nella chat dei Supporter si discutono nuove idee, progetti in corso e si esprimono pareri su molte cose che Patrik ci chiede.

I moderatori hanno la possibilità di vedere gli indirizzi IP hash *(versione criptata dei normali indirizzi IP)* dei giocatori. Si tratta di uno strumento utile, soprattutto quando si tratta di scuole che utilizzano il nostro gioco. Queste informazioni NON devono essere condivise con nessun altro! La privacy dei giocatori è molto importante per noi!

#### CAPACITÀ DI BANNARE

Mentre tutti i giocatori hanno la possibilità di "segnalare" un altro giocatore nelle chat private, cliccando sull'ingranaggio accanto al suo nome nei contatti, un Moderatore ha la possibilità di "bannare" i giocatori. Usano questo potere con saggezza!

Non si dovrebbe mai far partire un ban se prima non si è cercato di parlare con il giocatore! Nella maggior parte dei casi è possibile trovare una soluzione prima di dover bannare un giocatore. Molte "infrazioni" sono solo dei giocatori che testano i limiti e che, se richiamati, si fermano. Il ban dovrebbe essere l'ultima risorsa.

Per consentire ban equi, il sistema determina automaticamente la durata del ban in base al numero di infrazioni precedenti. I recidivi ottengono periodi di interdizione sempre più lunghi.

Il sistema determina anche automaticamente quando bannare l'intero IP e rifiutare nuove registrazioni in base a ban multipli dati a giocatori con lo stesso IP. L'obiettivo è quello di fermare i trasgressori che creano subito un secondo account per aggirare un ban.

Ci sono altri assi nella manica per i casi difficili che non vengono resi pubblici. Questi vengono applicati quando non riteniamo più possibile modificare il comportamento offensivo del giocatore e cerchiamo di bloccarlo completamente dall'uso delle chat.

#### IDENTITÀ AZIENDALE IN VIOLAZIONE DELLE T&amp;C

I moderatori possono decidere se dare al giocatore un avvertimento o, in casi di estrema violazione, cancellare subito l'identità. Se si sceglie l'avvertimento, l'utente riceve un messaggio PA che chiede al trasgressore di aggiornare le informazioni del suo profilo. L'Assistente personale manderà un promemoria anche nella chat dei Moderatori dopo un certo periodo di tempo, in modo che questi ultimi possano controllare se l'utente si è conformato. Anche in questo caso, il sistema determina quando inviare un avvertimento e quando emettere un ban, in base alla cronologia delle infrazioni. Le aziende che hanno un basso livello, in caso di infrazioni possono essere cancellate all’istante.

The primary job as a Moderator is to monitor the chat rooms, looking for meaningful discussions that we can engage in, and help players that have questions, suggestions or concerns. The most important job as a Moderator is to make sure our players are not only following our [Terms and Conditions](https://www.simcompanies.com/terms/) but having the best time possible!

When a mod pulls up a player's profile, they will see this under their company name:

#### **BANNING ABILITY**

Moderators can decide whether the player should be given a warning, or for extreme cases apply a chat ban right away.

Chat bans are temporary bans that are removing the ability for players to use chat rooms.

In most cases a resolution can be found before we have to ban a player. Many "offenses" are just players testing out boundaries and if called upon it they stop.

To allow fair and cooperative bans, the system automatically determines the ban length based on the number of previous offenses. Repeat offenders are getting ever increasing ban lengths:  
The progressive system starting at 2 hours; and follows this pattern: 2, 2, 8, 16, 32, 64, and so on.

System also automatically determines when to ban the whole IP and refuse new registrations based on multiple bans given to players on the same IP. The goal is to stop offenders that create a 2nd account right away to circumvent a ban.

There are a few more tricks up in our sleeves for difficult cases that are not made public. These are applied when we no longer feel the player's offensive behavior can be altered and are just trying to block him/her from using chats altogether.

#### **COMPANY IDENTITY IN VIOLATION OF T&amp;C**

Moderators can decide whether the player should be given a warning, or for extreme cases the identity cleared right away. If warning is selected, the user gets a PA message that is asking the offender to update their profile info. Personal Assistant will also remind the MOD chat after some time, so MODs can check if user complied. Here again, the system determines when to send warning and when to ban, based on history of offenses. Low level offending companies can be deleted right away.

#### **MODERATORS CHAT ROOM**

Moderators have access to both the Moderators Chat Room and the Supporters Chat Room.

In the Moderators Chat Room we discuss the offenders, what ban should be applied and whether the player was warned already. We also discuss whether the logo or company description is over the line in regards to [Terms and Conditions](https://www.simcompanies.com/terms/). The pressing technical issues are also brought forward. Moderators also have access to the Supporters Chat Room (this is a courtesy that Patrik has granted them). New ideas, upcoming projects, and opinions on many things that Patrik asks us about are discussed in the Supporters chat.

Moderators have the ability to see other player's hash IP addresses. This is a handy tool, especially when dealing with schools that utilize our game. They do NOT to share this information with anyone else! Player privacy is very important to us!

#### **MODERATORS ARE APPOINTED**

There is ***no application process*** to be a moderator. Moderators are selected after being ***nominated*** as a candidate and discussed in Mod chat.

The following list is ***not a checklist*** that once passed you become a moderator. There are many experienced players that are helpful to the community that are not moderating. When we consider expanding the moderating team ***we discuss possible candidates in the MODs channel***. We try to find candidates that:

- Are active players and understand the game - this is easy to see when helpful replies are posted in the Help chat room
- Have great relationship with existing moderators
- When audited, there's no record of prior cheating having multiple accounts - we are more strict here than [Fair Play Association](https://www.simcompanies.com/fpa/)
- Are level-headed and with stone skin ;)
- Have contributed a good article to Sim Companies times
- We tend to prefer more veteran players
- Speaking more languages is a big plus

**Note:** Writing to me, Patrik, directly doesn't help. As in many cases I simply ask in the MODs channel about you, and if nobody knows you .. it's hard to make a case for adding you in. I also ask other moderators to suggest candidates for moderators when we need more coverage. I can recommend you becoming a supporter, which also gets you access to great discussions related to game features.

Please do not beg/bother/annoy current moderators to be nominated to be a moderator. The moderators will certainly vote “no” if you are nominated.

#### **封禁能力**

#### **BANOVÁNÍ**

Moderátoři se mohou rozhodnout, zda hráč dostane varování, nebo v určitých případech rovnou ban z chatu.

Bany z chatu jsou pouze dočasné a znemožňují hráčům psát do chatovacích místností.

Ve většině případů lze problém vyřešit ještě před udělením samotného banu. Spousta "prohřešků" je pouze známkou toho, že hráči testují hranice toho, co si mohou dovolit a pokud jsou na to upozorněni, tak přestanou.

Abychom dosáhli co nejvyšší míry férovosti při udělování trestů, systém automaticky vyhodnocuje délku banu na základě počtu předchozích prohřešků. Opakované vědomé porušování pravidel má za následek zvyšující se délku banů:  
Systém začíná na 2 hodinách; a zvyšuje se následovně: 2, 2, 8, 16, 32, 64 a tak dále.

Systém rovněž automaticky vyhodnocuje bany IP a neumožní nové registrace v případě, že na ní bylo uděleno vícero banů.  
Cílem je zabránit hráčům, kteří by zakládáním nových účtů zkoušeli ban obejít.

V záloze máme ještě jiné metody, které nezveřejňujeme. Jsou používány pouze v těch nejextrémnějších případech, nebo když už přestaneme věřit v možnost zlepšení/nápravy hráčova chování a snažíme se takového jedince udržet mimo chaty.

#### **IDENTITY SPOLEČNOSTÍ V ROZPORU S PRAVIDLY (T&amp;C)**

Moderátoři mohou rozhodnout, zda hráč dostane varování, nebo v krajních případech rovnou o úpravě profilu společnosti. Pokud je vybráno varování, hráč obdrží od svého PA (osobního asistenta/asistentky) zprávu, ve které je vyzván ke změně profilu. PA také po čase napíše do moderátorského chatu (MODchatu), aby mohli moderátoři zkontrolovat, jestli došlo k nápravě. Opět, systém na základě historie přešlapů určuje, kdy poslat varování a kdy udělit ban. Společnosti s nízkou úrovní, jejichž profil porušuje T&amp;C, mohou být rovnou smazány.

#### **MODERÁTORSKÁ CHATOVACÍ MÍSTNOST**

Moderátoři mají přístup do moderátorského chatu (MODchatu) i do Chatovací místnosti pro podporovatele.

V MODchatu diskutujeme o hráčích porušujících pravidla, o případných varováních a trestech. Také zde řešíme, jestli profily hráčů včetně jejich loga nejsou proti [pravidlům](https://www.simcompanies.com/terms/). Také se řeší potíže technického rázu a bugy.   
Moderátoři mají taktéž přístup do chatu pro podporovatele (umožněn Patrikem jako výraz vděčnosti).  
V něm se diskutuje o nových nápadech, nadcházejících projektech a názorech o hře celkově.

Moderátoři si mohou zobrazit IP adresy ostatních hráčů. Hodí se to zejména v momentech, kdy se naše hra hraje ve školách.  
Tyto údaje s nikým NESDÍLÍ! Soukromí našich hráčů je pro nás velmi důležité!

#### **MODERÁTOŘI JSOU PEČLIVĚ VYBÍRÁNI**

Na roli moderátora **neexistuje přihláška**. Moderátoři jsou vybíráni poté, co jsou **navrženi** jako kandidáti a prodiskutováni v MODchatu.  
  
Níže vypsaný seznam **neslouží jako checklist**, jehož splnění vám zajistí status moderátora. Ve hře máme mnoho takových zkušených a zodpovědných lidí, kteří se komunitě věnují a přesto nemoderují. Potřebujeme-li rozšířit moderátorský tým, **probereme možné kandidáty v MODchatu**. Snažíme se najít lidi, kteří:

- Jsou aktivní hráči a rozumí hře samotné - to jde snadno poznat podle odpovědí v HELPchatu
- Mají výborné vztahy s aktuálními moderátory
- V době kandidatury nemají záznam o podvádění, více účtech - jsme zde přísnější než [Fair Play Asociace](https://www.simcompanies.com/fpa/)
- Mají pevné nervy a dokážou zachovat chladnou hlavu ;)
- Přispěli dobrým článkem do Sim Companies Times (SCT)
- Většinou upřednostňujeme zkušenější hráče
- Domluvit se vícero jazyky je velké plus

**Poznámka**: Kontaktování mě, Patrika, není cesta. Jako obvykle se na vás zkrátka poptám v MODchatu a pokud se tam o vás nic nedozvím, těžko vás přiberu. Potřebujeme-li nové lidi do týmu, žádám ostatní moderátory o tipy na vhodné uchazeče. V případě, že chcete mít přístup k detailnějším diskuzím ohledně hry, doporučuji stát se podporovatelem.

#### **MODERATORS**

The primary job as a Moderator is to monitor the chat rooms, looking for meaningful discussions that we can engage in, and help players that have questions, suggestions or concerns. The most important job as a Moderator is to make sure our players are not only following our [Terms and Conditions](https://www.simcompanies.com/terms/) but having the best time possible!

#### **BANNING ABILITY**

Moderators can decide whether the player should be given a warning, or for extreme cases apply a chat ban right away.

Chat bans are temporary bans that are removing the ability for players to use chat rooms.

In most cases a resolution can be found before we have to ban a player. Many "offenses" are just players testing out boundaries and if called upon it they stop.

To allow fair and cooperative bans, the system automatically determines the ban length based on the number of previous offenses. Repeat offenders are getting ever increasing ban lengths:  
The progressive system starting at 2 hours; and follows this pattern: 2, 2, 8, 16, 32, 64, and so on.

System also automatically determines when to ban the whole IP and refuse new registrations based on multiple bans given to players on the same IP. The goal is to stop offenders that create a 2nd account right away to circumvent a ban.

There are a few more tricks up in our sleeves for difficult cases that are not made public. These are applied when we no longer feel the player's offensive behavior can be altered and are just trying to block him/her from using chats altogether.

#### **COMPANY IDENTITY IN VIOLATION OF T&amp;C**

Moderators can decide whether the player should be given a warning, or for extreme cases the identity cleared right away. If warning is selected, the user gets a PA message that is asking the offender to update their profile info. Personal Assistant will also remind the MOD chat after some time, so MODs can check if user complied. Here again, the system determines when to send warning and when to ban, based on history of offenses. Low level offending companies can be deleted right away.

#### **MODERATORS CHAT ROOM**

Moderators have access to both the Moderators Chat Room and the Supporters Chat Room.

In the Moderators Chat Room we discuss the offenders, what ban should be applied and whether the player was warned already. We also discuss whether the logo or company description is over the line in regards to [Terms and Conditions](https://www.simcompanies.com/terms/). The pressing technical issues are also brought forward. Moderators also have access to the Supporters Chat Room (this is a courtesy that Patrik has granted them). New ideas, upcoming projects, and opinions on many things that Patrik asks us about are discussed in the Supporters chat.

Moderators have the ability to see other player's hash IP addresses. This is a handy tool, especially when dealing with schools that utilize our game. They do NOT to share this information with anyone else! Player privacy is very important to us!

#### **MODERATORS ARE APPOINTED**

There is ***no application process*** to be a moderator. Moderators are selected after being ***nominated*** as a candidate and discussed in Mod chat.

The following list is ***not a checklist*** that once passed you become a moderator. There are many experienced players that are helpful to the community that are not moderating. When we consider expanding the moderating team ***we discuss possible candidates in the MODs channel***. We try to find candidates that:

- Are active players and understand the game - this is easy to see when helpful replies are posted in the Help chat room
- Have great relationship with existing moderators
- When audited, there's no record of prior cheating having multiple accounts - we are more strict here than [Fair Play Association](https://www.simcompanies.com/fpa/)
- Are level-headed and with stone skin ;)
- Have contributed a good article to Sim Companies times
- We tend to prefer more veteran players
- Speaking more languages is a big plus

**Note:** Writing to me, Patrik, directly doesn't help. As in many cases I simply ask in the MODs channel about you, and if nobody knows you .. it's hard to make a case for adding you in. I also ask other moderators to suggest candidates for moderators when we need more coverage. I can recommend you becoming a supporter, which also gets you access to great discussions related to game features.

Please do not beg/bother/annoy current moderators to be nominated to be a moderator. The moderators will certainly vote “no” if you are nominated.

#### **封禁能力**

**協管可以決定是否向玩家發出警告，或者在極端情況下立即施加聊天禁令。**

聊天禁令是暫時性禁令，禁止玩家使用聊天室。

在大多數情況下，我們可以在封禁玩家之前找到解決方案。許多「違規」只是玩家在測試界限，如果被提醒，他們會停止。

為了實現公平與合作的封禁，系統會根據之前的違規次數自動決定封禁時間。屢犯者的封禁時間會越來越長：

漸進式系統從 2 小時開始；並遵循以下模式：2、2、8、16、32、64 等等。

系統也會根據同一 IP 上玩家的多次封禁，自動判定何時封禁整個 IP 並拒絕新註冊。目標是阻止違規者立即創建第二個帳號以規避封禁。

對於未公開的棘手案例，我們還有一些技巧。當我們不再認為玩家的攻擊行為可以改變，並試圖阻止他／她使用聊天時，就會施加這些措施。

####  **公司身份違反 T&amp;C**

如果選擇警告，使用者將收到一則 PA 訊息，要求違規者更新其個人資料資訊。個人助理也會在一段時間後提醒 MOD 聊天室，以便 MOD 可以檢查使用者是否遵守。同樣，系統會根據違規歷史決定何時發出警告以及何時進行封禁。低級別違規公司可以立即被刪除。
