Submission to Sim Companies Times guidelines

 The  Sim Companies Times has given us a lot of insight into different markets, how contracts compare to retail sales, and much of that insight comes from  player-written articles . That last category is what really makes it special. 

 We'd like you to write for the Times! 

 

 

 

 Rules for submitting  draft  articles for the Sim Companies Times: 

 

 

 Post the article to a shareable site such as Google Docs. 

 

 

 Use this form to submit an article. 

 

 

 The editors will notify you if your work is accepted, needs further editing, or is rejected. 

 

 

 

 Guidelines: 

 

 

 Length should be a standard essay length: introduction, 3-paragraph body, and summary. This is not a strict requirement, but overly long articles will be rejected. Word limit: 1200 words (English; this allows for translations into other languages). 

 

 

 The article should be related to the game in some way - both general advice and specific personal insights are welcome. 

 

 

 The article should not be written with the intent of discrediting another or as an advertisement for your company. 

 

 

 Submissions can be made at any time. 

 

 

 You will be notified the week your submission will be published in the Times.  

 

 

 We will  NOT  accept game suggestions. If you would like to make suggestions, please visit our Forum to do so. 

 

 

 We will  NOT accept AI-generated   articles . 

 

 

 Acceptance will be judged by moderators based on criteria including but not limited to: 

 

 

 Creativity, Conciseness, Conveyance of Game or Basic Economic Principles, Relevance, and Wit. 

 Please note  that submissions take time to review and be published in the Sim Times.  Do not expect to submit and be published in the same week.

 The queue can sometimes be as long as 8 weeks .

 When linking a Google Document when submitting, use the Share button at the top. Then make sure to edit the link from  Viewer  to either Commenter  or  Editor This allows us to make suggestions on your article.

 When submitting a meme for the Sim Times, make sure it's appropriate for the game and game-related  in some way.
